I held out, waiting for the iPhone. 3G. While I can sort of explain away the added monthly cost (3G rollout, yada yada yada), the fact that SMS is not included is pretty insulting, especially given the price. I'm already on the family plan with AT&T, and while I'm still considering the iPhone (for the integration capabilities with my other systems in the house), I've decided to take a "wait and see" attitude instead of jumping on the bandwagon.

Re: The iPhone 3G News RoundUp

Ted Byars I have a Palm Centrno right now and it is a great phone I really like it but being that i am a apple lover now days, i have been craving a iPhone. I am sorry to hear that you will not be able to get the iPhone. I would honestly say that you would prob be really happy with the centrno. it is not a iPhone but it is a good alternative!!

Re: The iPhone 3G News RoundUp

I will def still buy a iPhone it is not that bad of a plan still and if you are going to get all the gadgets and gizmos you are going to have to pay for them!!

Re: The iPhone 3G News RoundUp

approval

Re: The iPhone 3G News RoundUp

I intentionally held out buying an Iphone because we were all told the new, better, faster,etc... version was coming out. I really feel let down to be honest. My wife and I are already on a family plan and I will not be able to afford an iphone because of the monthly rate. My bill normally runs 130 to 180 a month. By adding a 3G iphone to my plan, it will double my cell bill. So now what? In my opinion nothing compares to the Iphone. Do I try the "alternative" iphone like types? In some way, Its like wanting lego's for Christmas but getting some other brand that looks like legos, but none of the pieces really fit like they're supposed to, the colors are a not right, and at the end of the day its just cheaper not better. I'm tempted to try the palm centro, like I asked, is cheaper better?
