  • I upgraded two blogs to 2.6 and a few more left but haven't had any problems so far.
  • I'm not 100% sure of this but I'm guessing the culprit cookies expire after 24 hours so my question is: Did you log in at all within the previous 24 hours?
  • I had quite a few problems upgrading to 2.6, but it seems they were related to some plugins. Eventually got it working.
  • I tried your suggestion but it didn't work for me. Instead, it presented this message:
syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/dorisch/public_html/nontoxichome/wp-config.php on line 15
    Can you help?
  • I used WP Automatic Upgrade to go from 2.5.1 to 2.6.1 and was no longer able to login on a Godaddy hosted site and Fantastico install, even after a password reset. (Had no problem on other Fantastico installs on other hosting companies.) Thought I would have to reinstall WP but clearing cookies worked & can log in fine now - just passing it on since it was a simple fix.
  • Thank you for this - it sorted out my wp-admin log in issue.
  • I have had the same problem with Wp 2.7. I tried your advice, but it did not work anymore.
